Electronic Labelling Machines and Laminators
Since its introduction in 1988, the Brother range of electronic labelling machines has grown to offer a wide range of options - everything from a handheld, battery operated model, to a PC connectable unit with a full size QWERTY keyboard - producing waterproof, scratchproof and heat resistant labels or even barcodes. Logos, images and text can all be positioned onto one label.
The flexibility of P-touch systems enable hardwearing labels to be used for a wide variety of applications ranging from warehousing, distribution, engineering and manufacturing to gardening, schools and libraries.
Brother's cool laminators can handle documents from A3 down to business card size items.

Sewing and Embroidery Machines
Brother leads the South African sewing machine market with a wide range of models including highly featured, computerised machines with touch screen LCD panels.
Throughout Brother's range, the emphasis is on developing products which are easy to use, incorporating built-in help systems. Other features include automatic needle threaders and bobbin winding plus a wide variety of stitches and automatic button holes which can be instantly created.
As the popularity of embroidered fashion garments and the interest in home improvement soars, Brother's high end domestic sewing machines not only sew but also embroider, using designs created on a PC.
The company offers the widest product range on the market, from entry-level models to the top-of-the-range Super Galaxie with more than 900 stitches, sixty built-in embroidery patterns and a video clip help facility.
Brother CS8120 sewing machine recently achieved the Good Housekeeping Institute's Consumer Quality Test Award.

Industrial Sewing Machines
Brother's Embroidery and Sewing Solutions Division offers sales and service for a full range of industrial products, from the basic lockstitch machines to fully automated sewing and embroidery systems used in high technology industries.
The company also custom builds machines for specific applications which include the stitching of tarpaulins used on soft-sided HGVs, belt loops and pockets on jeans and handles on mattresses.
From its position at the forefront of product development, recent innovations include the high-tech B430E bar tack, B850E zig zag and the B800E button hole. These machines offer high level electronic performance and flexibility at a similar price to the older mechanical machines.
Other recent introductions include lower cost versions of existing machines, such as the single needle B755-3A lockstitch and N series overlock series, highly competitive against new and cheaper market entrants.
Heavy duty industrial machines remain a strong area. This has led to the introduction of the B891 unison feed machine, used for sewing upholstery, car seats and mattresses. Existing models have also been updated with the introduction of the B877 and B878 walking foot machine.
